My research: My research estimates and models the size and nature of charity in the early Islamic world, with a particular focus on its implications for early Islamic coinage.

The difference my research makes: I hope my research will not only throw light on the coinage and economy of early Islam but also suggest new ideas and approaches to understand the role charity played in the growth and consolidation of early Islam.
