About Me
I’m an economist at the Department for Education where I work on teacher analysis and data engineering. I previously worked in HMRC, and completed a placement year in the private sector. I did my undergraduate degree at the University of Surrey, and master’s degree at Birkbeck, both in economics. In my spare time I play chess, read economics blogs, and code.
My Research
I’m studying labour markets in education, their impact on schools and pupils, and how government policies can address workforce shortages. In particular, I’m interested in quantifying the impact of workload and compensation on career decisions, and tools the government has to improve recruitment and retention.
Impact of My Research
I hope my work can inform teacher workforce policy in England, and improve our understanding of public sector labour markets.
