About Me
I studied medicine at the University of Tokyo and trained as a resident physician in Japan. With a growing interest in health economics and resource allocation, I completed an MSc in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing at LSHTM and LSE. I am now pursuing a PhD at LSHTM in the Department of Health Services Research and Policy, focusing on the impact of pharmaceutical regulations on cancer therapies.
I hope to combine my clinical background and health economics training to contribute to evidence-based policies for more sustainable health systems.
My Research
My research examines how Health Technology Assessment (HTA) practices and pharmaceutical regulations influence access to advanced cancer therapies and patient outcomes in Japan and England.
Impact of My Research
My research aims to provide insights into impact of HTA and regulatory processes on access to effective cancer therapies and patient outcomes. This can help policymakers integrate clinical benefits and economic considerations into regulatory decisions for cancer treatments, balancing access with financial sustainability.
