Andrea Smurra

About me: I am currently a PhD candidate in Economics at UCL and a PhD Scholar at the IFS. Prior to this, I worked as a Country Economist with the International Growth Centre (LSE/Oxford) in Myanmar. I hold an MSc in Economic Policy from UCL, and an MSc and BSc in Economics from the University of Florence.

My research: My main research interest is in applied economics, with a focus on development. My current projects look at the socio-economic impact of the Ebola crisis on young women in West-Africa, and at private provision of public goods in village economies.
