I wanted to share about a seminar I am co-organizing with my supervisor as part of my PhD project. The DTP previously kindly shared on the first seminar we organized which happened online successfully, and now our second seminar is taking place on the 25th of February in-person at the USS Stratford. The seminar will also be livestreamed for those who prefer to attend online.
Registration/attendance is free (Growing Up Bilingual: Researcher and Practitioner Synergies Tickets, Fri 25 Feb 2022 at 13:00 | Eventbrite), and we would love to have members of the DTP join us. We have a good mix of academics and practitioners speaking with this seminar focusing on how bilingualism can impact different developmental outcomes. Our first session will particularly have talks on cognitive and social outcomes linked to bilingualism, while the second session will particularly have talks on complementary/supplementary schooling and EAL research.
We also have some space available for poster presentations for PhD or early career researchers, so would love to forward this on to members in the DTP. If the topic interests anyone and they’d like to get involved they can get in touch with me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
