The Centre for Doctoral Studies will be funding three places on the Cumberland Lodge ‘Life Beyond the PhD’ conference this year. The conference will take place from 2 pm on 16 August 2021 to 4 pm on 20th August 2021.
Now in its thirteenth year, this annual conference offers PhD students and early career researchers from across the UK the opportunity to share their experiences with each other and to take part in invaluable training in communication, public engagement, and interdisciplinary working, while also being encouraged to think about the impact of their research within its wider social context. The conference, held in a fantastic facility in Windsor Great Park, also provides an inclusive environment for doctoral students to exchange experiences, practices and aspirations.
UBEL DTP will cover the cost of the fee (£400 per student to cover the costs of four nights of single accommodation at Cumberland Lodge, along with all meals during attendance). We could also cover travel and childcare costs if necessary.
Applications will be considered for all students who have upgraded before June 2021.
To apply for this competition please complete this form and return to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, 16th July 2021. Your application will be considered by the panel and results will be released by end of July.
Doctoral students who might like to self-fund their attendance can register via the conference webpage. It would be possible to use your RTSG allocation to fund the conference.
